【摘要】:1.1ThisStandardappliestoemergencylightingandpowerequipmentforuseinunclassifiedlocationsandintendedforconnectiontobranchcircuitsof600voltsorless.Suchequipmentisintendedtoautomaticallysupplyilluminationorpowerorbothtocriticalareasandequipmentintheeventoffailureofthenormalsupply,inaccordancewithArticle700or701oftheNationalElectricalCode,NFPA70,theLifeSafetyCode,NFPA101,andtheInternationalBuildingCode,IBC.1.2Examplesofequipmentdescribedin1.1include:ExitSignsEmergencyLuminairesUnitEquipmentCentralStationBatteryBanksInvertersAutomaticBatteryChargingandControlEquipmentAutomaticLoadControlRelaysDerangementSignalEquipment.1.3ThisStandardalsoappliestoauxiliarylightingandpowerequipmentforuseinunclassifiedlocations.AuxiliaryequipmenthasnotbeeninvestigatedtodeterminecompliancewiththeperformancerequirementsofArticle700or701oftheNationalElectricalCode,NFPA70,theLifeSafetyCode,NFPA101,ortheInternationalBuildingCode.Suchequipmentincludesluminaireswithanintegralbatterybackuppowersupply,illuminateddirectionalsigns,batteryassemblies,andrelateddevices.1.4ThisStandarddoesnotincluderequirementsforequipmentcoveredbyotherStandards,suchas:Luminaires,UL1598;UninterruptiblePowerSupplyEquipment,UL1778;LowLevelPathMarkingandLightingSystems,UL1994;TransferSwitchEquipment,UL1008;ElectricSigns,UL48.
